How It Works
STEP ONE
In couples therapy, the first session is typically attended together. During this session, you'll meet your therapist, discuss the issues that brought you to therapy, and identify any goals or concerns you’d like to address.
STEP TWO
Following the initial session, the next sessions are conducted individually with the therapist. This allows the therapist to gather more personal history from each partner and gain a deeper understanding of your unique perspectives, attachments and experiences.
STEP THREE
After the individual sessions, the therapy will return to joint sessions, where both partners will attend together for the remainder of the work. This collaborative approach ensures that both partners' voices are heard and that the therapeutic process remains focused on rebuilding and strengthening the relationship.
